Boston Celtics News

Projected Lineup: Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Kristaps Porzingis

  • Kristaps Porzingis (back) — Questionable

  • Jaden Springer (ankle) — Out

  • Xavier Tillman (knee) — Injured

Notably, Al Horford is not on the injury report as Boston begins a back-to-back set Tuesday at Brooklyn. The Celtics return home to face the Nets again on Wednesday. Porzingis has sat one of the two legs during Boston’s last three back-to-backs. Horford, meanwhile, has not played both ends of a back-to-back all season. If Porzingis is out Tuesday, expect Horford to start in his place before then sitting out himself on Wednesday.

Brooklyn Nets News

Projected Lineup: Ben Simmons, Cam Thomas, Mikal Bridges, Dorian Finney-Smith, Nic Claxton

  • Cam Johnson (adductor) — Out

  • Day’Ron Sharpe (knee) — Not on injury report

  • Dariq Whitehead (shin) — Out for season

Oklahoma City Thunder News

Projected Lineup: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Josh Giddey, Lu Dort, Jalen Williams, Chet Holmgren

Orlando Magic News

Projected Lineup: Markelle Fultz, Jalen Suggs, Franz Wagner, Paolo Banchero, Wendell Carter Jr.

Miami Heat News

Projected Lineup: Tyler Herro, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Caleb Martin, Haywood Highsmith, Bam Adebayo

  • Duncan Robinson (shoulder, elbow) — Questionable

  • Jimmy Butler (personal) — Out

  • Terry Rozier (knee) — Injured

  • Josh Richardson (shoulder) — Injured

  • Dru Smith (knee) — Out for season

The Heat suffered two significant injuries against Boston on Sunday, as Rozier (sprained knee) and Richardson (dislocated shoulder) each received multi-week diagnoses. Meanwhile, Butler will be out both Tuesday and Wednesday as he mourns a death in the family. Robinson’s questionable tag looms large with the Heat’s guard and wing depth thinning. He was part of the lineup that closed against the Celtics, and he’d be in line for significant minutes against Milwaukee if able to play. Seldom-used two-way Alondes Williams is the Heat’s only true bench guard, and he could see a rotation role on Tuesday. Nikola Jovic could also be in the rotation, and he has a chance to start over Highsmith.

When Butler, Rozier, and Richardson are all off the court this season, Adebayo (25.8%) and Herro (25.3%) pace Miami from a usage perspective, as expected. Curiously, however, those rates are both slightly below their full season-wide marks (Adebayo 25.9%, Herro 28.0%).

Milwaukee Bucks News

Projected Lineup: Damian Lillard, Malik Beasley, Jae Crowder, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Brook Lopez

Minnesota Timberwolves News

Projected Lineup: Mike Conley, Anthony Edwards, Jaden McDaniels, Karl-Anthony Towns, Rudy Gobert

Portland Trail Blazers News

Projected Lineup: Anfernee Simons, Matisse Thybulle, Jerami Grant, Jabari Walker, Deandre Ayton

  • Scoot Henderson (foot) — Questionable

  • Anfernee Simons (ankle) — Probable

  • Duop Reath (knee) — Probable

  • Malcolm Brogdon (elbow) — Injured

  • Shaedon Sharpe (core) — Injured

  • Moses Brown (wrist) — Injured

  • Robert Williams (knee) — Out for season

Simons’ upgrade to probable after missing Saturday’s game will aid the Blazers, who started 10-day contract signee Ashton Hagans in his place against New Orleans. Newly acquired Dalano Banton played 25 minutes off the bench in his Portland debut. If Henderson can play, the roles should be reduced for both Hagans and Banton.

Sacramento Kings News

Projected Lineup: De’Aaron Fox, Kevin Huerter, Harrison Barnes, Keegan Murray, Domantas Sabonis

Phoenix Suns News

Projected Lineup: Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, Grayson Allen, Kevin Durant, Jusuf Nurkic

Detroit Pistons News

Projected Lineup: Cade Cunningham, Jaden Ivey, Ausar Thompson, Simone Fontecchio, Jalen Duren

  • Quentin Grimes (knee) — Out

  • Evan Fournier (traded) — TBD

  • Malachi Flynn (traded) — TBD

  • Tosan Evbuomwan (signed) — TBD

  • Isaiah Stewart (ankle) — Injured

Fontecchio played 32 minutes off the bench in his Detroit debut and looks likely to join the starting lineup over Mike Muscala. Cunningham, Ivey, and Duren have all played 35 minutes or more in each of Detroit’s two games since the deadline. The Pistons, known for their 28-game losing streak earlier this season, are quietly 4-5 over their last nine games.

Los Angeles Lakers News

Projected Lineup: D’Angelo Russell, Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, LeBron James, Anthony Davis

  • LeBron James (ankle) — Questionable

  • Anthony Davis (Achilles, hip) — Questionable

  • Spencer Dinwiddie (signed) — Available

  • Max Christie (ankle) — Injured

  • Jarred Vanderbilt (foot) — Injured

  • Cam Reddish (ankle) — Injured

  • Gabe Vincent (injury) — Injured

Dinwiddie is available to make his Lakers debut after signing with the team earlier this week. His availability comes at a good time for the Lakers, which won’t have Max Christie through the All-Star break due to a sprained right ankle. There is an immediate opportunity for Dinwiddie to play a significant role, and coach Ham said he might even experiment with playing him as part of a three-guard lineup alongside Russell, Reaves, James, and Davis.
