NFL Week 14 Best Bets: Odds, Predictions to Consider on DraftKings Sportsbook

Must read

We’re getting to crunch time here in the NFL regular season. Aside from the Army/Navy game, college football is on break until the bowl games go off at the end of the month, so I have extra time to work on the NFL card this week. That said, I think more is less in NFL right now, leaving me with my eye on two games. Here’s what I like for bets available on DraftKings Sportsbook this week.

My 2023 NFL betting record entering Sunday of Week 14 is 55-46-4 (+0.05-units)

Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys

I posted this play pretty much as soon as the Niners finished pounding the Eagles in Philly on Sunday. I don’t think I’m overreacting to what we saw on the field in that game. The Niners are on another level that neither the Eagles or Cowboys are on when San Francisco is fully healthy. That said, this is a pretty poor spot for the Eagles.

We knew Philly was off a whirlwind of the crazy win in Kansas City, followed up with another miraculous overtime win over the Bills. Then the Niners came in having been off since Thanksgiving and pounded the Eagles. Now, after a very physical and emotional game, the banged up Eagles have to travel to Dallas to face a team that’s coming off a home win the previous Thursday night.

The Cowboys should be the more rested team for this game, and have a revenge angle here following their narrow loss in Philly earlier in the season. Dallas has also been much more comfortable at home, where it failed to cover for the first time this season last week. That said, the Cowboys put up 41 points yet again, now averaging 41 points in six home games this season.

The Eagles secondary is very beatable at this stage of the season, and the Dallas pass rush should find some success against a dinged up Jalen Hurts. I’m not convinced the Cowboys are the better team, but in this spot at home, I’m expecting a win.

Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs

The public loves the Bills here, and I’ll admit, they are in a spot where they really need a win. Buffalo is coming off a collapse in Philly, and now has had a bye week to prepare for a Chiefs team that’s giving us the illusion of coming undone.

The Chiefs allowed the Eagles to comeback and steal a home game on MNF, but then bounced back the next week. Now after a primetime loss to the Packers (featuring some questionable officiating), this is another breakout spot for KC.

While it’s fresh in everyone’s mind what Josh Allen was able to do in Philly, let’s remember that this Eagles defense ranks 29th in passing yards allowed. The Chiefs are much tougher on defense, ranking sixth in passing yards allowed per game.

I’m not saying the Chiefs are going to magically find it on offense, but Patrick Mahomes and company should start to clean up the mistakes. If they can do that, I’m expecting a win at home here with Josh Allen being forced into some mistakes.
