- 2023 Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo at NRG Park | Daily | Final Weekend – Put on your cowboy hat and boots and get ready for a Texas-sized good time. Houston’s signature annual event comes to a close over the weekend, offering one last chance to enjoy carnival bites, live music, rides, a petting zoo, market shopping, a wine garden, agriculture demonstrations and more. You can also catch performers like Kenny Chesney, Chris Stapleton, Brad Paisley and the Sunday finale concert from Luke Bryan. NRG Park admission is $20 for ages 13 and up; $10 for ages 3 to 12; free for ages 2 and under. Carnival rides, rodeo and concert admission is an additional cost. 10am to midnight; rodeo and concert performances begin at 6:45pm; 3:45pm on weekends.
- Moon 2 Mars Festival at Space Center Houston | Daily – The week-long celebration of space and NASA’s Artemis missions comes to a close with four days of headlining concerts from American Idol winner David Cook on Thursday; alt-rockers Sister Hazel on Friday; Grammy-winning artist Rick Springfield on Saturday; and Bidi Bidi Banda, a Selena tribute band, on Sunday afternoon. $44.95 and up; $39.95 for ages 4 to 11; free for ages 3 and under. Concerts at 5:30pm; Sunday at 3pm.
- 7th Annual Houston Latino Film Festival at MATCH | Daily – The annual film festival promoting Latino culture among Latinos and other communities has culled nearly 500 worldwide submissions down to an exciting festival lineup that features more than 70 short and feature-length films. Across MATCH’s several stages, the film festival will screen throughout five days, with several screenings accompanied by the filmmakers and directors in attendance. Single screenings are $14; all access passes are $55, $40 for students. Prices increase at the door. Times vary.
- Spring Break at Lone Star Flight Museum | Thursday to Saturday – Take flight all week long with daily activities at the aviation museum that include aircraft displays, talks with pilots and mechanics, hands-on demonstrations, NASA Day on Thursday, drones and more. $18; $15 for ages 12 to 17; $12 for ages 4 to 11; free for ages 3 and under. 10am to 5pm.
- Main Street Theater for Youth presents Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus the Musical at MATCH | Thursday to Saturday – This crowd-pleasing musical based on the popular children’s book explores what happens when a bus driver takes a break and an enthusiastic but odd volunteer steps in to take over. $18 and up. Daily at 1:30pm; Saturday at 10:30am and 1:30pm.
- The Savannah Bananas at Constellation Field | Thursday to Saturday – The viral sensations on the diamond, the Savannah Bananas bring three days of exhibition baseball fun that incorporates hilarious antics, TikTok dances, and more for an unforgettable night at the ballpark. Tickets are sold out at the venue, but you may find hard-to-find tickets using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 7pm.

- St. Paddy’s Pub Party & Crawfish Boil at SpindleTap Brewery | Friday & Saturday | No Cover – This family-friendly two-day party features Irish toasts on the hour, a crawfish boil, beer specials, table games and more. 11am to 10pm.
- 2nd Annual St. Patrick’s Extravaganza at McIntyre’s Downtown | Friday & Saturday | No Cover – The Downtown drinkery offers three stories of partying along the bayou with festivities that include live music, DJs and more. 11am to 2am.
- Lucky’s St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl in Midtown | Friday & Saturday – This annual pub crawl (not to be confused with Lucky’s Pub’s Minute Maid bash) will send festive crawlers through seven pit stops in Midtown, kicking off from the check-in at Front Porch Pub. Once you make your way through, swing by Playground for the official after party that kicks off at 10pm. $20 and up. 4pm to Midnight.
- The Riot Comedy Club presents Carlos Santos at Rudyard’s | Friday & Saturday – The comedian, most recently seen in a lead role on Netflix’s Gentefied, performs live on the upstairs stage at the Montrose pub. $17 and up. 7pm and 9pm.
- Houston Symphony presents Let’s Misbehave: The Music of Cole Porter at Jones Hall | Friday to Sunday – Tony DeSare and his guests Bria Skonberg and John Manzari offer their take on timeless Cole Porter classics such as “Night and Day,” “I Get A Kick Out of You,” “You’re the Top” and more. $35 and up. Times vary.
- Comedian Carlos Ballarta at Houston Improv | Friday to Sunday – The Mexico City comic can be seen recently in his Spanish-language Netflix special, Falso Profeta, and now takes the Improv stage for a weekend of his signature comedy and intuitive insights. This set will be performed in Spanish. $60 for 2, and up. Times vary.
- Houston Rockets vs. New Orleans Pelicans at Toyota Center | Friday & Sunday – The Pelicans from down I-10 find their way to H-Town for back-to-back games in Downtown over the weekend. $25 and up. Friday 7pm; Sunday 6pm.
- 45th Corvette Chevy Expo at the Galveston Island Convention Center | Saturday & Sunday – Check out stock, modified, pro-street, and custom cars and trucks, DJs and live entertainment, vendors, a swap meet and a craft show at this two-day event. $13 and up. Saturday 9am to 6pm; Sunday 10am to 5pm.
- 19th Houston Jewish Film Festival at the Evelyn R. Rubenstein JCC | Saturday & Sunday – The popular festival kicks off this weekend, ushering in a series of entertaining and exceptional award-winning films that showcase Jewish lives and stories. This event runs through Thursday, March 30. Individual screenings are $15 and up; pick-three films is available for $41. Times vary.
- Spring Vibe Market at Post Houston | Saturday & Sunday | FREE – This two-day artisan showcase lets you shop unique items from more than 300 vendors while enjoying complimentary cocktails, photo ops, music and more. 11am to 5pm.

- Stages presents The Bride Or: Does This Dress Make Me Look Married? at the Gordy | Daily | Ongoing – Beloved to Houston audiences for her role as Sister in Late Night Catechism, Denise Fennell offers her unique perspective on the institution of marriage. Mere hours before her wedding, a bride of a certain age questions everything, including whether she should get married at all. This production runs through Sunday, May 14. $30 and up. Showtimes vary.
- Cowboy Bob at Alley Theatre | Daily | Ongoing – Loosely based on the story of Texas bankrobber Peggy Jo, this world premiere explores a Texas legend with genre-bending music. $40 and up. Showtimes vary.
- Dirt Dogs Theatre presents Misery at MATCH | Daily | Ongoing – Based on the Stephen King novel, this play follows the story of a romance novelist rescued by his “number-one fan.” When she finds out he’s about to kill off her favorite character, she holds him hostage. $30. Showtimes vary.
- Stages presents cullud wattah at the Gordy | Daily | Ongoing – This multi-generational saga unfolds against the backdrop of the water crisis in Flint, Michigan. The New York Times called it “haunting and eye-opening.” It follows a family’s quest for justice, going up against powerful entities, and how that quest could be its undoing. $30 and up. - 16th Lucky’s St. Patrick’s Day Festival 2023 near Minute Maid Park – Though no longer held at Lucky’s former signature East Downtown location, this annual St. Patrick’s Day bash spans three city blocks outside of Minute Maid Park, featuring two stages of live music, flowing green beer, bagpipers and more party entertainment. $10 and up. 10am to 2am.
- St. Patty’s Day at Kirby Ice House | No Cover – With locations in Upper Kirby, Memorial and the Woodlands, the popular drinkery celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with green beer and Jameson specials, appearances by the Houston Highlanders Pipes & Drums, and every TV tuned into the first round of March Madness action. 11am to 2am.
- St. Patrick’s Day at B-52 Brewing Company | No Cover – The Conroe brewery hosts a day of festivities featuring green beer, Irish-inspired food, performances from the McTeggert Irish Dancers and more. Noon to 10pm.
- St. Patrick’s Day at St. Arnold Brewing Co. | No Cover – Houston’s oldest brewery throws it back with a free event featuring beer, food, live music from Pipe Fooligan, dance performances, and the annual Donegal Beard Growing Competition. Plus, you can finally get a taste of the special bottle offering, an Irish Imperial Stout that’s been aging since 2018. 2pm to 11pm.

This annual St. Patrick’s Day bash spans three city blocks outside of Minute Maid Park, featuring two stages of live music, flowing green beer, bagpipers and more party entertainment.

- St. Patrick’s Day Party at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck – The longtime Upper Kirby pub and music venue spills out onto an outdoor stage for a day of traditional bagpipers, a special St. Patrick’s food and drink menu, and plenty of good-spirited fun. $30. 3pm to 11pm.
- Uncle Tony’s Burgers Pop-Up at Southern Star Brewery | No Cover – Purchase a beer and a tasty burger as Uncle Tony’s brings its signature style to the Conroe brewery. 4pm to 10pm.

- St. Patrick’s Day Dinner at GJ Tavern – The Downtown offshoot of the Georgia James steakhouse is serving up a six-course dinner paired with beer and Irish spirits as curated by Executive Chef Tim Reading.
