Blue Devil Recruiters May Enter Fray for Dutch Sensation
Roughly six months since moving to America, Brewster Academy (N.H.) forward and potential Duke basketball target Dwayne Aristode already ranks No. 26 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite. But the Netherlands product, who spent the past three years playing for Club Joventut Badalona in Spain, hasn’t reported many offers yet.
There’s no doubt, though, that Duke head coach Jon Scheyer and his staff have noticed Aristode’s potent arsenal as a 6-foot-7, 185-pound lengthy five-star.
The Blue Devils visited him at his school in late October. And on Thursday, Aristode told 24/7 High School Hoops that Duke is one of the 10 programs that has been reaching out to him, along with Arizona, Kansas, Kentucky, Texas Tech, UCLA, UConn, Virginia, Wake Forest, and Xavier.
Thus far, his only visits were to Arizona, UCLA, and Wake Forest.
Here’s the scouting report on Dwayne Aristode that On3’s Jamie Shaw provided a few weeks ago:
“Aristode is a highly explosive and quick twitch player. He plays with a toughness that helps him on the defensive end and on the boards. He can also get downhill to finish at and above the rim in traffic…Still young, and getting used to the speed of the American game, he is already productive and has top-tier athleticism and frame.”
Duke basketball has yet to land a commitment in the 2025 cycle but has offers out to eight undecided talents. They are all top-20 five-stars.
