Scotland will warm up for the men’s T20 World Cup with matches against the Netherlands and Ireland.

The tri-series event in Amstelveen will involve the nations playing each other twice between 18-24 May.

The Scots then fly out to the Caribbean on 26 May and start the tournament against defending champions England in Barbados on 4 June.

Scotland also take on Australia, Namibia and Oman in Group B.

Ireland are in Group A along with India, Pakistan, Canada and co-hosts USA, while the Dutch are in Group D, taking on South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.

Scotland beat Ireland by eight runs in July to secure first place in the T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier in Edinburgh.

Doug Watson led the team on an interim basis on that occasion and the South African is returning to the role as permanent head coach next month.

His second stint begins with 50-over World Cup League 2 matches against Namibia and Oman from 2-12 May at Forfarshire’s Forthill ground, while there will also be a T20 match against Oman on 14 May.
