Disqualified Eurovision Contestant Joost Klein May Face Charges

The Netherlands’ Eurovision representative, Joost Klein, who was disqualified from the competition, will reportedly face charges.  Klein was the first act ever to reach the Grand Final and be disqualified in 68 years of the competition. The musician was accused of making verbal threats towards a female member of the production crew. A spokesperson from Malmö police spoke to The Guardian and revealed that Klein will most likely face legal action within the next few weeks. Dutch broadcaster Avrotros has said that “Joost was filmed after repeatedly indicating he did not want to be filmed. This wasn’t respected.” “We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards inappropriate behaviour at our event and are committed to providing a safe and secure working. environment for all staff at the Contest,” said a representative from the Eurovision Song Contest.
